Gueydan Bears (Gueydan, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Basile Bearcats (Basile, LA), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host Abbeville for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. Gueydan will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 20-9 non-league win over Midland (Midland, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Basile falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Bearcats host East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 5-7.
