The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Beacon Bulldogs to 0 in the Goldbacks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Newburgh Free Academy improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Goldbacks travel to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY) to clash with the Bushmen in a non-league game on Thursday, April 6. The Bushmen come into the game with a record of 1-1. Pine Bush lost 9-8 in their recent non-league game against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 6. Beacon will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Warwick (Warwick, NY).
