Ohio High School Softball - Buckeye Local knocked off by Martins Ferry

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, Martins Ferry moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Purple Riders travel to Union Local (Belmont, OH) to play the Jets in a Buckeye 8 contest on Wednesday, April 5. The Jets come into the contest with a record of 2-2. Union Local lost 19-4 in their recent non-league contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)

In their next game, the Panthers play the Shadyside Tigers (Shadyside, OH) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 6. Buckeye Local will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 10-0 league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, OH).
