Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Cave Spring will face a Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Christiansburg falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Blue demons host William Byrd (Vinton, VA) to face the Terriers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Terriers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. William Byrd lost 11-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Patrick County (Stuart, VA)
