The Cottondale Hornets softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Poplar Springs Atomics to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Cottondale improves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Chipley (Chipley, FL) to clash with the Tigers in a 1A District 3 game on Wednesday, April 5. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 10-5. Chipley lost 8-6 in their recent non-league game against Paxton (Paxton, FL)

In their next game, the Atomics clash with the Altha Wildcats (Altha, FL) in a 1A District 3 game, on Thursday, April 6. Poplar Springs will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 6-6 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Blountstown (Blountstown, FL).
