The Griswold Wolverines softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Wheeler Lions to 0 in the Wolverines league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Griswold improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Fitch (Groton, CT) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league game on Thursday, April 6. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 1-0. Fitch won 12-0 in their recent non-league game against Killingly (Killingly, CT)
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - Small game, on Thursday, April 6. Wheeler will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 22-0 league win over Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT).
