Texas High School Softball - Seguin gets by Smithson Valley

The Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) softball nipped the visiting Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 4-3 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Matadors (21-8) will now prepare for their bout against Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Antlers go into the 5A Region IV District 26 bout with a 12-10 record. In their last bout, Tivy was edged by Canyon (Canyon, TX), 6-0, in a league bout.
The Rangers now own a 15-12 record. They take the field next when they host Wagner for a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Thursday, April 6. Smithson Valley will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Pieper (San Antonio, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-20.
