The Alton Redbirds baseball team scored 21 runs and limited the visiting East St. Louis Flyers to 1 in the Redbirds league victory on Thursday.
The Redbirds (11-3) will now prepare for their match against Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Midgets go into the non-league match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Freeburg was overwhelmed by Salem (Salem, IL), 6-4, in a league match.
The Flyers (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Manual (Peoria, IL). The Rams go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record.
