In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen baseball team scored a nice 15-1 victory over the Jal Panthers.
The Cavemen (13-3) will now prepare for their game against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Hobbs overcame Artesia (Artesia, NM), 10-9, in a non-league game.
The Panthers (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines go into the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Texico overcame Clovis (Clovis, NM), 6-5, in a non-league game.
