Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Aberdeen Bulldogs (Aberdeen, MS), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Troopers now sport a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Itawamba Agricultural for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Mooreville will face a Indians squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Indians record now stands at 21-1.

With the loss, Aberdeen falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to East Webster (Maben, MS) to face the Wolverines in a 3A Region 4 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. East Webster won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Nettleton (Nettleton, MS)
