Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) and the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), witnessed Carson's softball squad tip A.L. Brown by a count of 8-7.

The Cougars now sport a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Robinson for a South Piedmont 3A match on Friday, April 5. Carson will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-3 league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, A.L. Brown moves to 4-6 on the season. The Wonders travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to face the Ragin' Bulls in a Greater Metro 4A match on Friday, April 5. The Ragin' Bulls go into the match with a record of 9-3. Hickory Ridge won 7-3 in their recent league match against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)
