Don Lugo Conquistadores (Chino, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chino Cowboys (Chino, CA), 14-13 in a league challenge.

The Conquistadores now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baldwin Park for a Mt. Baldy challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Don Lugo will battle a Braves squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Chaffey (Ontario, CA). The Braves record now stands at 8-10.

With the loss, Chino falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Jurupa Hills (Fontana, CA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. Jurupa Hills won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Buena (Ventura, CA)
