Mississippi High School Softball - Columbia loses to Purvis

The Purvis Tornadoes softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Columbia Wildcats to 1 in the Tornadoes league win on Thursday.
Coming up next, the Tornadoes encounter the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 6. Purvis will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Maroon Tide enter the test with a 9-11 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).
The Wildcats (12-7) will now prepare for their test against East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, East Marion was routed by Salem (Tylertown, MS), 16-5, in a league test.
