The Floyd County Buffaloes softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host James River Knights to 12 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Floyd County moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Buffaloes host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, April 9. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 6-0. Carroll County won 6-5 in their recent league game against Glenvar (Salem, VA)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 8. James River will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 1-6 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
