Frontenac Raiders (Frontenac, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers (Pittsburg, KS), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverton for a Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee challenge on Monday, April 8. Frontenac will battle a Rams squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Girard (Girard, KS). The Rams record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, St. Mary's-Colgan falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Independence (Independence, KS) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-0.
