In Thursday's league contest, the Zion Chapel Rebels (Jack, AL) softball team overwhelmed the host Goshen Eagles (Goshen, AL), by a margin of 17-1.
With the triumph, Zion Chapel moves its record to 19-2 on the year. The Rebels host Luverne (Luverne, AL) to play the Tigers in a 2A Area 4 contest on Tuesday, April 9. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 4-4. Luverne won 6-4 in their recent league contest against Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 5. Goshen will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Purple Cats come into the contest with a 13-9 record after their 4-0 league loss to Long (Skipperville, AL).
