Hamilton Aggies (Hamilton, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Russellville Golden Tigers (Russellville, AL), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Aggies now own a 23-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Haleyville for a 4A Area 11 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Hamilton will battle a Lions squad coming off a 16-5 league loss to Curry (Jasper, AL). The Lions record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Russellville falls to 14-10 on the campaign. The Golden tigers travel to Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Mars Hill Bible won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Colbert County (Leighton, AL)
