Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) and the host South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), witnessed West Stokes's softball squad prevail over South Stokes by a count of 18-4.

The Wildcats now sport a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Morehead for a Mid-State 2A match on Monday, April 8. West Stokes will face a Panthers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, South Stokes moves to 4-9 on the season. The Sauras travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to face the Trojans in a Northwest 1A match on Friday, April 5. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 1-9. Alleghany lost 13-5 in their recent league match against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)
