The Tupelo Golden Wave softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Starkville Yellowjackets to 1 in the Golden Wave league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Tupelo moves its record to 4-10 on the year. The Golden Wave host Germantown (Madison, MS) to clash with the Mavericks in a 7A Region 2 game on Friday, April 5. The Mavericks come into the game with a record of 12-6. Germantown lost 21-20 in their recent league game against Clinton (Clinton, MS)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 8. Starkville will attempt to move on its 4-17 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 17-8 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
