The Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY) baseball trounced the visiting Adirondack Wildcats (Boonville, NY), 15-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Oneida for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 5.
With the defeat, Adirondack drops to 0-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Frankfort-Schuyler (Frankfort, NY) to clash with the Maroon Knights in a Section 3 Center State I challenge on Monday, April 7. The Maroon Knights go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Frankfort-Schuyler lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Morrisville-Eaton (Morrisville, NY)
