In Friday's league game, the host Bob Jones Patriots baseball team scored a nice 12-1 win over the Austin Black Bears.
The Patriots (23-8) will now prepare for their game against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears go into the 7A Area 8 game with a 7-18 record. In their last game, Austin was overwhelmed by Sparkman (Harvest, AL), 13-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Black Bears play the Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL) in a 7A Area 8 game, on Saturday, April 5. Austin will attempt to improve on its 7-19 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 22-8 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Buckhorn (New Market, AL).
