The Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC) baseball trounced the host Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC), 14-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Gators now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perquimans for a Four Rivers 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Martin County will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 11-4.

With the defeat, Bertie drops to 4-12 on the year. The Falcons travel to Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to clash with the Red Barons in a Four Rivers 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Red Barons go into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Gates County won 17-1 in their recent league challenge against North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC)
