The Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) baseball got by the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 5-4 in Friday's league challenge.
The Chargers now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host North Gaston for a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Crest will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 11-1 league win over Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-4.
With the defeat, South Point drops to 10-5 on the year. The Red raiders travel to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC) to clash with the Mountaineers in a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Mountaineers go into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Kings Mountain won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)
