The Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 14-4 in Friday's league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they host Cypress Woods for a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Cypress Ranch will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 10-0 league win over Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-4.

With the defeat, Cypress Lakes drops to 7-15 on the year. The Spartans travel to Bridgeland (Cypress, TX) to clash with the Bears in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Wednesday, April 9. The Bears go into the challenge with a record of 20-3. Bridgeland won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX)
