Michigan High School Baseball - Springport wallops East Jackson

The Springport Spartans baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting East Jackson Trojans to 1 in the Spartans non-league win on Friday.

The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stockbridge for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 8. Springport will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy (Brighton, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, East Jackson drops to 1-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Hanover-Horton (Horton, MI) to clash with the Comets in a Cascades test on Monday, April 7. The Comets go into the test with a record of 1-1. Hanover-Horton lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Northwest (Jackson, MI)
