The Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host West Ridge Wolves to 8 in the Fighting Cyclones non-league win on Friday.

The Fighting Cyclones now hold a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Unicoi County for a 3A District 1 test on Monday, April 7. Elizabethton will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 13-9 non-league loss to Grainger (Rutledge, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-5.

With the defeat, West Ridge drops to 5-11 on the year. The Wolves host Science Hill (Johnson City, TN) to play the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 1 test on Monday, April 7. The Hilltoppers go into the test with a record of 11-6. Science Hill won 7-1 in their recent non-league test against Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN)
