The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Mission Eagles (Mission, TX) and the host Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), saw Mission's baseball team gain a win over Roma by a tally of 5-1.

The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Lobos enter the 5A Region IV District 30 battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Palmview held off Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Gladiators face the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Roma will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 13-5 record after their 7-0 league win over Nixon (Laredo, TX).
