With the triumph, North Surry advances its record to 8-6 on the season. The Greyhounds host Surry Central (Dobson, NC) to battle the Golden Eagles in a Foothills 2A match on Tuesday, April 8. The Golden Eagles come into the match with a record of 12-4. Surry Central won 16-3 in their recent league match against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)

The Eagles now have a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avery County for a non-league match on Monday, April 7. Wilkes Central will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 13-8 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-8.
