The Patchogue-Medford Raiders baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Riverhead Blue Waves to 1 in the Raiders league win on Friday.

The Raiders now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Islip for a Section 11 AA-1 test on Tuesday, April 8. Patchogue-Medford will clash with a Musketeers team coming off a 22-0 non-league loss to Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY). The Musketeers record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Riverhead drops to 1-2 on the year. The Blue waves host Longwood (Middle Island, NY) to clash with the Lions in a Section 11 AA-1 test on Wednesday, April 9. The Lions go into the test with a record of 1-0. Longwood won 11-0 in their recent league test against Brentwood (Brentwood, NY)
