The Sulphur Springs Wildcats baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Pittsburg Pirates to 1 in the Wildcats league win on Friday.
The Wildcats now hold a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paris for a 4A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, April 8. Sulphur Springs will play a Wildcats team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-15.
With the defeat, Pittsburg drops to 7-5 on the year. The Pirates host CHAAMP HomeSchool (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to play the Hawks in a non-league test on Friday, April 25. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 8-5.
