Fans at Friday's league battle between the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), saw East Rutherford's soccer squad hold off Chase by a count of 3-2.

The Cavaliers (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Wolverines enter the Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Polk County tipped East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Trojans battle the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 9-4 record after their 4-0 non-league win over NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC).
