In Friday's non-league bout, the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA), by a margin of 7-1.
The Terriers now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cave Spring for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 9. William Byrd will play a Knights team coming off a 22-10 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Magna Vista drops to 3-4 on the year. The Warriors travel to Bassett (Bassett, VA) to play the Bengals in a non-league test on Monday, April 7. The Bengals go into the test with a record of 2-5. Bassett won 17-4 in their recent non-league test against George Washington (Danville, VA)
