The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), saw R-S Central's baseball team beat Patton by a margin of 9-0.

The Hilltoppers (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats enter the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Hendersonville defeated Brevard (Brevard, NC), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Panthers face the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 11. Patton will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
