The Laney Buccaneers lacrosse squad scored 17 points and limited the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions to 1 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Friday.

The Buccaneers now hold a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a Mideastern challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Laney will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 10-9 league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, North Brunswick falls to 7-7 on the year. The Scorpions host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to clash with the Screaming Eagle in a Mideastern challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Screaming Eagle go into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Ashley won 17-3 in their recent league challenge against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)
