The Wallkill Valley Rangers softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Belvidere County Seaters to 1 in the Rangers non-league win on Friday.

The Rangers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a NJAC - Colonial battle on Tuesday, April 8. Wallkill Valley will confront a Braves team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Warren Hills Regional (Washington, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Belvidere moves to 1-2 on the season. The County seaters host Somerville (Somerville, NJ) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 5. The Pioneers come into the battle with a record of 3-0. Somerville won 5-1 in their recent league battle against Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ)
