La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 11-10 in a league game.

With the triumph, La Plata upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Warriors host Chopticon (Morganza, MD) to play the Braves in a non-league game on Monday, April 7. The Braves enter the game with a record of 6-1. Chopticon won 17-1 in their recent league game against Patuxent (Lusby, MD)

The Cavaliers now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Great Mills for a Southern Maryland game on Wednesday, April 9. Calvert will play a Hornets squad coming off a 13-3 league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 3-4.
