The crowd at Friday's league bout between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), observed East Duplin's softball team get by South Lenoir by a tally of 1-0.

The Panthers (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 7-1 record.

In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Southwest Onslow Stallions (Jacksonville, NC) in a East Central 2A bout, on Thursday, April 10. South Lenoir will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record.
