The Liberty Patriots softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Estacado Matadors to 4 in the Patriots league win on Friday.

The Patriots now possess a 7-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Spring for a 4A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, April 8. Liberty will confront a Steers team coming off a 13-2 league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Steers record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Estacado moves to 3-17 on the season. The Matadors travel to Lake View (San Angelo, TX) to confront the Chiefs/Maidens in a 4A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Chiefs/Maidens come into the battle with a record of 11-11. Lake View lost 7-2 in their recent league battle against Snyder (Snyder, TX)
