The Taft Greyhounds softball team scored 15 runs and held the host George West Longhorns to 0 in the Greyhounds league win on Friday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Oso for a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Tuesday, April 8. Taft will confront a Bears team coming off a 17-0 league loss to Mathis (Mathis, TX). The Bears record now stands at 3-18.

With the loss, George West moves to 4-16 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 3A Region IV District 29 match on Tuesday, April 8. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 6-12. Aransas Pass lost 9-8 in their recent league match against Odem (Odem, TX)
