The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) and the host Honesdale Hornets (Honesdale, PA), observed Lakeland's softball team get by Honesdale by a tally of 7-5.

The Chiefs (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Mid Valley (Throop, PA). The Spartans go into the Lackawanna 3 bout with a 7-0 record. In their last bout, Mid Valley tipped Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Old Forge Blue Devils (Old Forge, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 bout, on Wednesday, April 9. Honesdale will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 9-3 league win over Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA).
