The Hudson Hornets triumphed over the visiting Rusk Eagles softball squad by a count of 11-5 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Hornets play the Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Hudson will attempt to upgrade on its 15-11 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 11-9 league loss to Center (Center, TX).

The Eagles (14-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Bullard (Bullard, TX). The Panthers enter the 4A Region III District 17 challenge with a 22-3 record.
