The North Polars softball team scored 13 runs and held the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs to 5 in the Polars league win on Friday.

The Polars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Simley for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. North will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Denfeld (Duluth, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Mahtomedi moves to 0-1 on the season. The Zephyrs host Hastings (Hastings, MN) to encounter the Raiders in a Metro East battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 1-0. Hastings won 10-1 in their recent non-league battle against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)
