The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) and the visiting South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA), observed Merryville's softball team get by South Beauregard by a tally of 5-4.

The Panthers (11-11) will now prepare for their bout against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the non-league bout with a 14-11 record. In their last bout, Sulphur tipped Bell City (Bell City, LA), 10-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Kinder Yellowjackets (Kinder, LA) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Monday, April 7. South Beauregard will attempt to advance on its 13-11 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
