Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), 13-8 in a league game.

With the triumph, Pinecrest improves its record to 3-12 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to clash with the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Monday, April 7. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Montgomery Central lost 10-0 in their recent league bout against North Davidson (Lexington, NC)

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Southern Lee will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Bucks go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Richmond (Rockingham, NC).
