The Deweyville Pirates (Deweyville, TX) softball routed the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Dallardsville, TX), 15-0 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Pirates (15-5) will now prepare for their bout against Hull-Daisetta (Daisetta, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region III District 24 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Hull-Daisetta was routed by West Hardin (Saratoga, TX), 10-0, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Big Sandy falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host High Island (High Island, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. High Island lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX)
