Texas High School Softball - Big Spring gets by Sweetwater

April 5, 2022: Big Spring, TX 79720

The Big Spring Steers nipped the visiting Sweetwater Mustangs softball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Steers (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Matadors go into the 4A Region I District 3 battle with a 8-20 record. In their last battle, Estacado was edged by Levelland (Levelland, TX), 9-8, in a league battle.

The Mustangs now possess a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lake View for a 4A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, April 8. Sweetwater will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 7-17.
