Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Del Sol Dragons (Las Vegas, NV), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Chaparral for a 4A Desert challenge on Thursday, April 7. Cimarron-Memorial will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 11-7 league win over Mojave (North Las Vegas, NV). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Del Sol falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Dragons host Doral Academy Red Rock (Las Vegas, NV) to battle the Dragons in a 4A Desert challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Doral Academy Red Rock won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Eldorado (Las Vegas, NV)
