Wamego Red Raiders (Wamego, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clay Center Tigers (Clay Center, KS), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Concordia for a North Central Kansas challenge on Tuesday, April 12.

With the loss, Clay Center falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Chapman (Chapman, KS) to battle the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Fighting Irish enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Chapman lost 10-8 in their recent league challenge against Marysville (Marysville, KS)
