Fredonia Hillbillies (Fredonia, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Falconer Golden Falcons (Falconer, NY), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Hillbillies now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Iroquois for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 6.

With the loss, Falconer falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden falcons travel to Dunkirk (Dunkirk, NY) to battle the Marauders in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus I challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Marauders enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Dunkirk won 18-3 in their recent league challenge against Southwestern (Jamestown, NY)
