Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX), 13-12 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hamshire-Fannett for a 4A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 8. Hardin-Jefferson will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Splendora (Splendora, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 24-3.

With the loss, Livingston falls to 16-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Liberty (Liberty, TX) to face the Panthers in a 4A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 8. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 21-3. Liberty won 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)
